The Board of Directors of the Cornstalk Heights Historical Community Organization (CHHCO) has made the decision not to proceed with plans for the 2018 Christmas Tour of Homes – The Tour Has Been Cancelled.
“This Tour is something that our Community Organization has looked forward to presenting for the past 27 years” stated President, Alyse Porter.  “However, this year we were unable to obtain commitments from homeowners to open their homes for this Event.   In the end; we had only four homes that were going to be available – three of which were on last year’s Home Tour.
“There are numerous reasons for residents being unable to participate.  I would say security issues are the number one concern.  Times have changed and folks are feeling less secure with opening their homes to the public.   Likewise; many of our newer homeowners are in the process of renovating their homes and they just are not ready to feature their homes during this year’s previously planned tour.”
“Hopefully, we will be able to offer the Home Tour at another time as well as many other new exciting ideas for showcasing the Cornstalk Heights Community and the City of  Harriman ”.
